Beans and Frank

What better way to help a young 7 month old puppy learn not to chew/eat off the counters/steal bread/ than to get her a new companion. We are now the proud owners of Franklin, a Rhodesian Ridgeback/Lab mix???? Franklin is his name and he fits it pretty well. I Beans's defense, she has taught him where the dog door is and where to use the restroom, sort of . The adventure continues.......

A Saturday without plans

This morning we woke up and realized we didn't have anywhere to be today. That doesn't happen very often. Last Saturday we had Carlene and Cory visiting, an Alumni Picnic in the afternoon, a baptism after that, and Jenny and I had a dinner to be at in the evening! Needless to say, not much got done around the house.
This week is a different story. After a busy week including wrestling, scouts, tutoring, piano lessons, a dog door installation, and a broken arm, We finally got to take care of chores around the house. The lawn, the pool and filters, and now time to actually sit here and blog.

The quick run down on the arm. This time it was Porter's turn!! He was sliding around on the mats at Austen's wrestling practice and somehow fell or hit his arm wrong. A perk of my job is being able to get his arm X-rayed and an appt. with the Peds Ortho the next day. A small buckle fx of the radial head in the elbow joint! 3 weeks of casting to start with.

We are slackers!!!!!!

We have not updated our lives since school started and we are already almost at Christmas break! What has been going on? Well, school obviously started, we've been camping at Lake Roosevelt in October, Jenny and the kids went to California for a few days, oh, and we have a new addition to the family. A wonderful new (not potty trained) PUPPY. Jenny decided we needed a puppy and so off she went to the pound. We ended up with Beans, an Australian Shephard, Rottweiler mix 12 week old puppy. She is very active, full of energy, and loves to nibble on almost anything!!!

Enjoy the pics.

Porter starts the big K!!!

So other news from our family is that Porter now joins his brother and sister at school! He is in kindergarten at Edu-prize. He has been at it about 3 weeks now and still isn't quite sure he enjoys it, but is doing better! He seems to like his teacher and class, if it just wasn't soo early. He is not a morning person, that is for sure. Kait and Aust tell him that unless he is throwing up, has a fever, or the runs then he has to go to school. I wonder where they learned that from. It sure is amazing watching these kids grow up. Next month Abby will start Pre-school, which means that for 2 short hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays, she will not have any kids at home!

A week in California

Well, its been a month since we got back from almost a week in California. A few days at Moremamma and Papa's and 4 days down by the beach. 3 days of beach were enough for some in our family. After living 22 years in California, I finally learned (or better stated "tried") surfing. But, I am proud to say I was able to get up!!!! Here are some pics of the family!

Help...Baseball season is here!

We have been taken over by Little League. Spending 3-4 weeknights at the ballpark leaves little time for dinner/homework/relaxing. May will come soon I hope!!!

Austen got his cast off last week, but still no ball for him! He had strep the week before that and now I think Porter and Abby have got it. They love each other so much they have to share!
